Apex Hunting is looking for a full-time Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Capalaba.

This is a phone and computer-based customer service role, suited to someone who is proactive, organised, detail-focused and genuinely interested in archery.

This time, we are specifically looking for someone who already has knowledge of archery, bowhunting or archery products — or at minimum, a very strong personal interest in the sport.

Please do not apply if you have no archery experience, product knowledge or genuine interest in archery. The learning curve is high, and we need someone who already understands or is highly motivated to understand the products and customers we work with.

About the Role

You will be helping customers by phone, email and online, as well as proactively following up on orders, returns, product issues and customer enquiries.

This role is not just waiting for the phone to ring. We need someone who can take ownership, follow things through, communicate clearly and help customers before small problems become bigger ones.

You will work closely with our warehouse, retail, workshop and operations team to make sure customers are kept informed and issues are resolved properly.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer customer phone calls and emails

• Help customers with product questions, order updates and general enquiries

• Proactively follow up on backorders, delays and problem orders

• Assist with returns, warranties, refunds and replacements

• Liaise with the warehouse and dispatch team about customer orders

• Keep clear notes and records in our systems

• Escalate customer concerns where needed

• Help reduce missed calls, unresolved enquiries and customer frustration

• Support both online and retail customer service where required

• Learn and use our internal systems accurately

• Work with the team to improve customer communication and service processes

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Existing archery experience, archery product knowledge or a strong personal interest in archery

• Excellent phone manner

• Strong written communication skills

• Good computer skills

• High attention to detail

• Reliable and organised

• Calm and professional with customers

• Able to follow through and take ownership

• Comfortable working in a busy, specialist retail/warehouse environment

• Willing to learn product details, systems and processes properly

Highly regarded:

• Previous customer service experience

• Retail or ecommerce experience

• Experience with returns, warranties or order support

• Knowledge of bows, arrows, bowhunting equipment or archery accessories

• Experience using Shopify, Neto, email systems or similar business software

Hours and Pay

This is a full-time role based at our Capalaba location.

Salary is $70,000 per annum plus superannuation.

The role is generally Monday to Friday, with the possibility of an occasional Saturday if needed.
