The Black Sheep Apollo recurve bow is an excellent choice for beginners, growing archers and clubs with it's wide range of custom limb and riser sizes.
Black Sheep have made getting in to archery easier than ever with the Apollo, with 5 riser sizes, 7 limb lengths with various draw weights, and not to mention left and right handed options, you can get a bow that is just right for you. No need to get an awkward size bow to "grow into" or shoot a bow too small for you at a club or camp, the Apollo is also the best value for money choice available today so get sized up and grab one, you'll be more accurate much sooner.
Shoot the Black Sheep Apollo in whatever style you want - the bow can be shot off the shelf with hair rest as a traditional bow (recommended) or set up with accessories including sights and stabilizers.
The Apollo riser or handle comes in 5 lengths; 14.5, 19.5, 20, 22 and 24 inch. Each riser will include an arrow rest and the limb bolts, so all you will need is a set of matching limbs and a string, and you have a bow to suit your perfect size.
To make things even easier, we have put together an easy table so that you can match riser and limbs for your Apollo recurve bow;
|Limb size||Draw Weight Options||Recommended for|
|14.5 Inch||48 Inch||10-14lbs||Kids|
|19.5 Inch||54 or 58 Inch||12-18lbs||Kids, Teens, Ladies|
|20 Inch||62 Inch||16-22lbs||Teens, Ladies|
|22 Inch||64 Inch||14-32lbs||Ladies, Men|
|24 Inch||66, 68 or 70 Inch||18-34lbs||Ladies, Men|
The total size of your bow is determined by the limbs that you buy. So for example if you went for the 24 Inch riser, you could purchase 66, 68 or 70 Inch limbs and that will give you the measurement you need for the string. Bow lengths for the Apollo are measured by AMO standards, so always match your string to the size of the bow (eg. a 64 inch bow needs a 64 inch string, that string will actually measure up at around 60 inches allowing you to flex the limbs back to the correct brace height).
